MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - No damage has been discovered to the trapped Russian submersible on the Pacific seabed, an assistant to the Russian Navy's commander said.
"An examination by an unmanned vessel has revealed no external damage to the submersible," First Class Captain Igor Dygalo said.
The Navy press service said the two hatches at the top and at the bottom of the vessel were not blocked.
The AS-28 submersible got trapped Thursday with seven sailors onboard.
