MOSCOW, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom, the Russian gas monopoly, said Wednesday it had bought outright Gazoenergeticheskaya Kompaniya (GEK), an energy company, from its affiliate Gazprombank.
"The main asset of GEK is a 5.3 % share in Unified Energy Systems (RAO UES). In addition, the company will buy 5.19% of the shares in the UES from Gazprombank, resulting in a total of 10.49% share in the RAO UES," a company news release said.
