MOSCOW, August 11 (RIA Novosti) - On August 12, the Russian national men's basketball team will start its second round of training for the Europe-2005 championship, the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF) website announced. All of the leading players will be present for training at Novogorsk, the Moscow region, except for American-born John Robert Holden.
However, Holden, who also has Russian citizenship and has agreed to play for the Russian team, will join the national team on August 23 after its return from Lithuania, where the two countries will be playing their first Supercup of Federations match on August 20. Holden will miss this game, but take part in subsequent matches and training. At an international tournament in Istanbul to be held from August 28 to August 3, and in the return Supercup of Federations match against Lithuania on September 8, the Russian squad will be complete.
