MOSCOW, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has nominated Alexander Karlin for the post of Altai governor, the Kremlin press service said.
Karlin currently heads the state service department of the presidential staff.
Putins' nomination of Karlin comes in the wake of former Governor Mikhail Yevdokimov's death in a car accident August 7.
