SOCHI, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said the Middle East quartet must continue working toward peace.
"The quartet must continue work in coordination with all the parties concerned, and we are satisfied that Russia and Jordan have common approaches to this matter," the president said after his meeting with King of Jordan Abdullah II Thursday.
He said that the development of Palestinian territories after Israeli's withdrawal was one of the topics discussed at the meeting.
