SOCHI, August 18 (RIA Novosti)-Vladimir Putin said Thursday that he thought it was important that religious leaders from the Muslim world be involved in efforts to counteract terrorism.
Speaking at a news conference after meeting King Abdullah II of Jordan, the president said the experience of Jordan's religious leaders could be taken as a basis "to fight for the hearts and souls" of Russian Muslims in a bid to be more successful in ideological efforts to counteract terrorism.
