MAKHACHKALA, August 20 (RIA Novosti) - A blast occurred near a banquet hall in downtown Makhachkala, the capital of Daghestan (Southern Russia), Saturday, the local Emergency Situations Ministry said.
The details of the accident are still unknown. There have been no reports of injuries.
Some ambulance teams are working at the site of the explosion.
