MOSCOW, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian police arrested a group of Russian and Kazakh nationals illegally dealing in osmium, a precious metal.
The press service of the Russian Interior Ministry's economic crime department said Sunday the criminals were seized while selling 4.7 grams of the precious metal for $14,000. The market price of osmium is $23,000 per gram.
The dealers are suspected of being involved in an international organized criminal group dealing in platinum-group metals.
Investigation is under way.
