MOSCOW, August 25 (RIA Novosti) - Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov has signed a draft federal budget for 2006, the minister's press secretary said Thursday.
In accordance with the Budget Code, the draft budget will be submitted to the State Duma (Russia's lower chamber of parliament) for review until August 27, Alexander Zharov said.
The 2006 draft budget runs a surplus of 776 billion rubles (about $27 billion), with 4.3 trillion rubles of expenditures (about $149 billion) and 5 trillion rubles of revenues (about $176 billion).
