KAZAN, August 26 (RIA Novosti) - A new chairman of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be appointed before the next CIS summit in Minsk, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Kazan summit Friday.
"We agreed with the heads of state to solve this problem during consultations before the planned meeting in Minsk," he said.
