Experienced French audience gathered every day in the halls of the Palace of Festivals on the Croisette embankment in Cannes and greeted the famous Alexandrov Red Army Ensemble, a group of female drummers from Surgut and performers of an original folklore program prepared by the Russian National Theater from Cherepovets.
The Russian North - the Vologda Land exhibition attracted a lot of attention. It presented works of Russian masters of art-and-craft, including beautifully pained birchbark wares, traditional costumes decorated with ornaments and embroidery, items made of silver and, certainly, the famous Vologda lace.
The weekend program was dedicated to classical dance. On Saturday, the audience in Cannes had a chance to see the Don Quixote ballet performed by the Krasnodar Ballet Theater under Yuri Grigorovich.
On Sunday, the Festival of Russian Culture will close with the performance of the Spartacus ballet.
