MOSCOW, September 1 (RIA Novosti) - Turkmenistan's associated membership in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) does not mean it is refusing to participate in all the organization's events, CIS executive committee chairman Vladimir Rushailo told journalists Thursday.
"This does not mean Turkmenistan does not want to participate in all CIS events," Rushailo said, adding that the country's neutrality meant it did not want to take part in military events, but it was interested in economic cooperation.
