SOCHI, September 1 (RIA Novosti) - The government has purchased 110,000 metric tons of grain as part of its grain interventions, agriculture minister Alexei Gordeyev said Thursday.
"From August 29, the state operator has begun to purchase grain. A total of 110,000 metric tons of grain have been purchased so far," Gordeyev said at a meeting with President Putin in Sochi.
The agriculture minister thanked the president for his firm order to the government to intervene on the grain market.
