MOSCOW, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin said Saturday inquiry into the Beslan hostage crisis would prompt improvements to security bodies' activities.
"I agree with Beslan people that a thorough, unbiased investigation of such attacks must prompt drastic improvements to the law enforcement system," Putin said at a meeting with Russian Security Council members.
"People of Beslan who lost their loved ones a year ago are not happy about the investigation of the attack, and they are asking how it could happen at all," Putin said.
Putin said findings on the Besland school siege must make the basis for measures to streamline security agencies' activities.
