MOSCOW, September 5 (RIA Novosti) - The political situation in the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan will stabilize soon and good conditions will be created for investment, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday at a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
"I would like once again to congratulate you with the election results (the election victory) because they suggest that political stabilization will come to your country and good investment conditions will be created in the republic in the near future," Putin said while opening his talks with the Kyrgyz president.
Bakiyev said that relations with Russia were particularly important for the republic and added that it was no coincidence that he was paying his first working visit to Russia after his inauguration.
"Russia has always been a strategic partner for us and now our relations with Russia have particular importance at the political level," Bakiyev said.
