MOSCOW, September 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Kyrgyzstan are planning to increase anti-terrorism efforts, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday.
After talks with Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Putin said the key condition for raising business activity and social progress in the Central Asian region was increasing security and ensuring stability.
"Russia and Kyrgyzstan are firm in their intention to boost joint efforts to effectively counter international terrorism, transnational crime and drug trafficking," Putin said.
Putin said they discussed political, economic, humanitarian and other cooperation.
