MOSCOW, September 5 (RIA Novosti, Olga Grinkrug) - The Russian capital will host the finals of the World Extreme Car Washing championship Thursday, a source in the event's organizing committee said Monday.
"The qualification and preliminary competitions have been held in many countries. As a result, four teams from Russia, China, Ghana and Columbia will compete in the finals in Moscow," said Yelizaveta Sobenina, the secretary of the organizing committee.
The finals will be held at Moscow's Central Racetrack. There are four people in each of the participating teams.
Cars will be smeared with all the available suburban substances, from simple dirt to chemicals.
The organizers want the event to attract attention to the ecological situation in the city and have scheduled the championship to end with a race of environmentally friendly vehicles.
