Zurabov said no immediate quality increase would result from additional funds, adding that situation might develop similar to the widely criticized housing and utilities reform, which boosted charges for public utility services without increase service quality.
According to Zurabov, the government should raise additional funds by tightening control over employers obliged to pay Unified Social Tax on their employees. This would allow the government to meet obligations within its strategy, aimed at an efficient health-care system, the minister said, adding that otherwise the government would not see an immediate effect and the situation in general could worsen.
"At the next stage we will ask ourselves where to find money to adjust obligations and revenues," Zurabov said. (more)
