TEHRAN, September 7 (RIA Novosti) - The Iranian foreign minister said Wednesday that no one could deprive Iran of the right to use nuclear power.
"No organization can defy international norms and deprive the Islamic Republic of Iran of its legitimate right to use nuclear power for peaceful purposes," Manuchehr Motaki said after meeting with accredited diplomats and representatives of international organizations in Iran.
He said the European Troika, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, and all members of the Council of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) must consider this fundamental principle during talks with Iran.
"The right of our nation to develop nuclear technologies is provided for by international norms and agreements, including the Non-Proliferation Treaty and the IAEA Statute," Motaki said.
