TBILISI, September 9 (RIA Novosti, Marina Kvaratskhelia) - The Georgian opposition party, New Right-Wingers, has asked the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the U.S. Department of State and Congress, NATO and other international organizations for help in defending the freedom of the press, the party's central office said Friday.
"The pressure of the authorities has now acquired the form of terror, which threatens the democratic development of Georgia," the party said in its letter.
The party called on international organizations "to defend the Georgian opposition and the freedom of the press from the pressure of the authorities."
