* A concert in honor of the 70th birthday of well-known Estonian composer Arvo Part will be held in the Moscow Conservatory's Grand Hall (7:00 p.m.).

* A memorial for those killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist acts in the U.S. and the victims of terrorist acts in other countries will be held in the St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church in Vspolye (11:00 p.m.).

* The 25th Moscow international peace marathon will start from Red Square in downtown Moscow (11:00 p.m.). Races will be held along the Moskva River embankments. Runners from more than 40 countries will participate.

* The 14th CIS and Baltic States film festival, Kinoshok-2005, opens (September 11-22).
