KIEV, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine's first president and leader of the parliamentary faction of the Social-Democratic Party of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, said his party would discuss the formation of an election bloc with the Party of Regions in September, the Novosti-Ukraine agency said.
The leadership of the Party of Regions proposed forming a bloc for the Supreme Rada (parliament) elections due in spring 2006. However, the format for cooperation has not been coordinated yet, Kravchuk said.
"I would like to meet with Viktor Yanukovich (the leader of the Party of Regions and Viktor Yushchenko's rival during the 2004 presidential elections) and dot the 'i's,'" he added.
