CHISINAU, September 13 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Novosadyuk) - The implementation of joint projects in the Commonwealth of Independent States will soon confirm that it is an economically effective organization, the head of the Russian Audit Chamber said Tuesday.
Sergei Stepashin, who is also leading the Russian delegation at a meeting of CIS audit heads, said national leaders were set to reach decisions on joint projects in the customs sphere, double taxation and tourism.
Stepashin said the audit bodies had "much in common, and similar legislative bases."
The heads of audit institutions of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine are attending the session. Representatives of the relevant institutions from Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Estonia were also invited to the forum.
