MOSCOW, September 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov signed a resolution Tuesday allocating $1 billion in 2005 to help finance Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the government press service reported.
The withdrawal, a stipulated part of the "road map for peace" in the region, was proposed by the Middle East Quartet, comprising the United States, the EU, the UN and Russia.
The Finance Ministry will use funds allocated in the budget for spending on "international relations and international cooperation".
