MOSCOW, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - The inflation rate in Russia has reached 0.1% in the first 12 days of September, the economic development and trade minister said Wednesday.
Inflation is now at 8.4%, German Gref told the lower house of parliament, the State Duma.
The minister said food prices decreased in September, but prices for oil derivatives rose 4%.
"If we manage to stabilize prices for oil derivatives, we will be able to have either 0% inflation or, at least, insignificant inflation," Gref said, noting that Russia experienced 0.1% deflation in August.
Gref expressed hope that the government would be able to keep the annual inflation rate at the planned level of 10%-11%.
