MOSCOW, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - Marat Safin, ranked 8th in world ratings, will have to sit out the Davis Cup semi-finals against Croatia due to a knee injury, the Russian Tennis Association announced Wednesday.
Dmitry Tursunov will be joining Nikolay Davydenko, ranked 7th in the world, Mikhail Youzhny and Igor Andreev on the Russian team in the semi-final.
The team will be playing Croatia from Sept. 23-25 in Split, a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea.
