NAZRAN, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - Officers were patrolling the capital of the Russian republic of Ingushetia Wednesday when a homemade bomb, packing the equivalent of two kg of TNT, exploded, the republic's interior ministry said.
"The explosion on the federal Kavkaz road left a crater about two meters in diameter and 70 cm deep," the ministry said.
No other materials were found at the site of the explosion.
"Militants usually stuff bombs with bolts, nails and other metal pieces to enhance their destructive power. Nothing of that kind was found," the ministry said.
No one was killed or injured in the blast.
