MOSCOW, September 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is planning to take a hard stance against Israeli settlements and the construction of a separation barrier in the West Bank, a Russian diplomat said Friday.
"During a meeting of the Middle East Quartet of international mediators (Russia, the United States, the EU, and the UN), Russia will reaffirm its decisive stand against unilateral actions taken before the status of the Palestinian territories has been determined," Russian foreign ministry official spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said.
The meeting will be held September 20 in New York as part of the 60th session of the UN General Assembly.
