MOSCOW, September 18 (RIA Novosti) - Former FSB operative Mikhail Trepashkin, who had been earlier released from a correctional facility, was arrested in Moscow, his wife said Sunday.
Tatyana Trepashkin said her husband had been arrested in absence of his lawyers.
Trepashkin's lawyer Valery Glushenkov said, though, his client's arrest was legal.
"The court has reversed its decision to release Trepashkin on parole, therefore his status has changed," the lawyer said.
"The way the arrest was conducted is a different matter. Why would they arrest my client at home, if they could have simply called him and asked him to appear in a certain place at a certain time," he added. (more)
