MOSCOW, September 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Uzbekistan will conduct joint anti-terrorist tactical exercises September 19-24, a Russian Army spokesman said Monday.
The exercises, to be held 250 kilometers (about 150 miles) south of Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent, will involve 200 Russian paratroopers and 200 Uzbek mountain troops, the press service said.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will attend the exercise.
