KIEV, September 19 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko met with former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, his main rival during the 2004 presidential elections, for the first time Monday after the end of the election campaign to discuss political developments in the country, the president's news service said.
"It is time to give up the emotions that accompanied the presidential elections and make efforts to leave behind negative trends from the election campaign," Yushchenko said.
