MOSCOW, September 20 (RIA Novosti) - The government will consider a ten-year program for the development of the Russian aircraft industry Thursday, the industry and energy minister said Tuesday.
Viktor Khristenko told President Vladimir Putin that the program will help preserve the industry as a system integrator to design and mass produce aircraft.
The program also alters the state role in priority projects and specifies terms for civil and military aviation development projects.
Khristenko said the ministry was completing documents on the formation of an aircraft-manufacturing corporation in Russia, including presidential and government resolutions.
