MOSCOW, September 20 (RIA Novosti) - A task force of Russian ministers will present legislative initiatives within the next month aimed at stabilizing fuel prices and developing the oil sector, the Industry and Energy minister said Tuesday. Viktor Khristenko told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the task force includes representatives from the Finance, Natural Resources and Industry and Energy ministries.
At a meeting with the heads of Russia's largest oil companies, a decision was reached to freeze prices on oil products until the end of the year.
"I hope that this decision, made by LUKoil, TNK-BP, Rosneft, Tatneft and Surgutneftegaz will be supported by other market players," Khristenko said.
