KIEV, September 22 (RIA Novosti) - The Ukrainian parliament will take a second vote on Yury Yekhanurov's candidacy for prime minister at noon Thursday, Speaker Vladimir Lytvyn announced after morning consultations between parliamentary faction leaders.
The legislature rejected President Viktor Yushchenko's nominee by a narrow margin Tuesday, but he insisted on a revote, claiming that Yekhanurov had the necessary backing to win the 226 votes required to get through.
A representative of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's faction spoke against a revote on Yekhanurov.
