NOVOSIBISK, September 22 (RIA Novosti, Yana Ryabinskaya) - The Altai regional court sentenced serial killer Valery Kopylov to 25 years in prison, a spokesman for the local prosecutor's office said Thursday.
Deputy Altai region prosecutor Valery Ziyastinov said Kopylov, 34, citizen of the Siberian city of Barnaul, killed 19 people in the Altai region after he was released from prison in 1998.
He said Kopylov was homeless and lived in a dugout near Barnaul. His victims were fellow vagrants whom he quarreled with.
