MOSCOW, September 23 (RIA Novosti) - Price changes were mixed in trade on Moscow stock exchanges Friday amidst high activity.
Prices at the close were similar to the levels of previous days.
The RTS slipped 0.07% to 965.3 points, while MICEX climbed 0.52% to 854.56.
Prices moved sideways with uncertainty over Hurricane Rita, the end of the trading week and the approaching end of the quarter.
Trade began with strong demand for only Tatneft and Rostelecom stock, and in the afternoon buyers opened blue chip positions.
LUKoil stock had gained 0.27% by closing, Tatneft 4.24%, while UES and Surgneftegaz lost 0.39% and 0.47% respectively.
Gazprom shares, which had seen active buying in recent days, lost positions towards the end of trading, closing at only 0.21% up.
