WASHINGTON, September 24 (RIA Novosti) - In 2006, Russia could repay another $10 billion to the Paris Club ahead of schedule should debt-return negotiations resume, said Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, who is attending the fall session of the IMF and the World Bank as well as a meeting of the G-8 finance ministers in Washington on Saturday.
A new round of negotiations with the Paris Club is not due until 2006, but should we agree on a new round, we could discuss the early repayment of $10 billion," he said, adding that there were no negotiations or official consultations on the matter with the group of creditor nations at present.
Under the standing agreement, this year we have paid about $15 billion in early debt-return," Kudrin said.
