WASHINGTON, September 25 (RIA Novosti) - The decision on Russia's full-fledged membership in the Group of Eight finance ministers will not be made in 2005, the Russian finance minister told a news conference in Washington.
"Russia is not a member of the leading clubs, such as the WTO, and has not repaid its debt to the Paris Club [of Creditor Nations]," Alexei Kudrin said.
He also said that Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref was to arrive in Washington Monday to hold important talks on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization.
During its G8 chairmanship Russia will host two sessions of G8 finance ministers in February and June 2006 prior to the G8 summit in July, Kudrin added.
