MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - The Greek minister for agricultural development and foods said Tuesday that Greece is optimistic over perspective agricultural exports to Russia.
"The positive dynamics of the Russian economy, political stability in the country, development and quality improvement of distribution, the market and retail sales networks, make favorable prerequisites for increasing the involvement of Greek companies," Evangelos Basiakos said.
According to Basiakos, industrial outputs equal 80% of Greek exports to Russia. Agricultural produce makes up 18%. The share of agricultural product was increasing year on year, including exports of fresh and tinned fruits, tobacco, flour, conserve tomatoes, olives and olive oil, kiwi and water melons.
