MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - A Moscow arbitration court upheld the decision of London's High Court of Justice, which had ruled that beleaguered Russian oil company Yukos pay its creditors, but reduced the claim from $482 million to $475.28 million Wednesday.
The judgment can be appealed within a month.
In June, the High Court of Justice upheld a claim by 14 Yukos creditors for $482 million against the company. The amount was what remained of a $1 billion syndicated loan Yukos had taken from Societe General, Citibank, Commerzbank, Credit Lyonnais, Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC, ING, and others.
The banks filed suit when Yukos failed to comply with its credit obligations.
