MOSCOW, September 29 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow soccer teams Lokomotiv and CSKA have good chances of advancing to the group stage of the UEFA Cup, as they go into their first round second legs on Thursday night with advantages from their opening encounters.
Lokomotiv chalked up a 2-1 away win against Norway's Brann (Norway), and CSKA beat Midtjylland (Denmark) 3-1 at home.
Russian fans are less optimistic about St. Petersburg's Zenit, as Greece's AEK held it at home to a goalless draw against in the first leg. Zenit needs to win in Athens if it wants to advance.
Krylya Sovetov from Samara has the worst chances of all the four Russian teams in the competition. Although it won 5:3 in the first match against Dutch team AZ Alkmaar, the pundits expect the home team to overturn the deficit.
