MOSCOW, October 1 (RIA Novosti) -- Two officers of the republic's Anti-Terrorist Center (ATC) were killed in a shootout with Chechen militants Friday, a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies said.
"During the past 24 hours, as of 6.00 a.m. Moscow time, October 1, there have been two armed clashes and two bomb attacks in the republic, killing two ATC officers and wounding a policeman, three Defense Ministry force servicemen, and one ATC officer," the source said.
