LONDON - Russian President Vladimir Putin's routine visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of British Prime Minister Tony Blair (October 4 and 5). Whilst in London, Putin will take part in a ceremony to present Russian state awards to members of the British Navy who had contributed to the operation to rescue the Russian mini submarine AS-28, trapped on the ocean floor off Russia's Pacific coast in August this year.

October 6

MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin's meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov.

ST. PETERSBURG - A summit of the Central Asian Cooperation Organization, involving the presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan (until October 7).

YEREVAN - About 100 representatives of NATO member nations and countries involved in the NATO Partnership for Peace program will attend the Road Rose workshop under the auspices of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (until October 9).
