MOSCOW, October 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Brazil have reached a preliminary agreement on the flight of a Brazilian astronaut, the deputy head of the Russian Federal Space Agency said.
"We signed a preliminary contract on the flight of a Brazilian astronaut," Alexander Medvedchikov said, adding that the document provides for the astronaut's arrival in Russia and flight preparation.
"The Brazilian astronaut may come to Russia in the near future," he said without giving the date of the flight.
Russia and Brazil should sign intergovernmental technology protection agreements to implement joint projects, Medvedchikov said.
