MOSCOW, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russian electricity monopoly Unified Energy System will consider concluding an option agreement on the purchase of a 30.41% stake in Silovye Mashiny, the company said on its Web site Thursday.
Burbot Limited, a company registered on the Isle of Man, owns the 30.41% stake.
The UES board approved the purchase of a 22.43% stake in Silovye Mashiny, Russia's leading manufacturer of equipment for hydro, thermal, gas and nuclear power plants, from tycoon Vladimir Potanin's Interros holding in addition to the package it owns through a subsidiary. Accordingly, UES will bring its total stake in Silovye Mashiny to 25% plus one share.
