CHISINAU, October 6 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Novosadyuk) - The European Commission opened a representative office in Moldova Thursday.
The office will be responsible for coordinating the EU's aid to Moldova, expected to hit 42 million euros ($48.5 million) in 2005-2006.
European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Benita Ferrero-Waldner and Moldovan Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Andrei Stratan were present at the ceremony.
