MOSCOW, October 8 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government is striving to make its agricultural sector more attractive for foreign investors, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said Saturday, addressing the opening of the Zolotaya Osen (Golden Autumn) exhibition. The prime minister conveyed a message of greetings on Agriculture Day from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The 7th Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition Zolotaya Osen is held at the All-Russia Exhibition Center on October 8 through 11. It is an annual show of the achievements of the national agro-industrial complex timed for Agricultural Workers Day. This year's exhibition takes up an aggregate area of 53,600 sq m, which is 2,000 sq m more than in 2004. More than 2,000 enterprises from 70 Russian regions and foreign countries are taking part in the exhibition.
