MOSCOW, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian and Slovakian soccer teams will meet in a decisive 2006 World Cup qualifier on Wednesday night in Bratislava. Slovakia is currently in second in Group 3, one place ahead of Russia on goal difference.
The eventual second place team in the group will take on a team from another group in a play-off to book one of the final places to Germany next year.
Russia, now coached by former Lokomotiv Moscow boss Yury Syomin, must win, but Slovakia only needs a draw.
Kick-off is 22:30 Moscow time (18:30 GMT).
