MOSCOW, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is ready to help Iran and the European troika (Britain, Germany and France) resume talks on the Iranian nuclear program, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the issue with his Iranian counterpart, Manuchehr Motaki, during a telephone conversation.
Lavrov said Russia wanted Iran and the European troika to resume the talks as soon as possible, to achieve a political-diplomatic resolution of the problem.
Motaki reaffirmed Iran's readiness to continue the talks.
