NEW DELHI, October 16 (RIA Novosti) - The North Caucasus city of Nalchik will be sealed off until all militants are tracked down, a senior official at the Russian Defense Ministry said Sunday. "If we do not do it now, the roots of terrorism will remain [in place,]" he said. "Nalchik will be sealed off until all militants are found."
Pro-Chechen militants attacked Nalchik in the early hours of October 13.
